Thoroughbred Horse Racing added another to the ranks of the Triple Crown this year. American Pharoah broke a thirty seven year drought by winning all three of the races that make up the triple crown. American Pharoah joined Secretariat, Seattle Slew and Affirmed in a club that has only twelve members. Shown here is a four photo collage bearing the authentic signatures of the last four up jockys to achieve the feat. Ron Turcotte rode Secretariat to victory in 1973. In 1977 Seattle Slew was ridden to victory by Jean Gruget. The following year (1978) Steve Cauthen guided Affirmed to victory in all three races. Thirty Seven years later, Victor Espinoza rode American Pharoah wire to wire in the Kentucky Derby, The Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes. All four images show the respective Horse crossing the finish line at the first of the three events, the Kentucky Derby. Each of the signed images highlighted by tan and gold matt highlighting the individual photos, a black and gold informative plaque and the appropriate, replica, admission ticket. All four are mounted on black fabric with a riding crop prop. Framed in narrow brown “leather” with the gold accents to an approximate overall size of 35x47x2 inches. All four signatures are third party authenticated as well as our Signature Royale, individually numbered, lifetime guarantee of authenticity. Ready to hang.
